How to Optimise Your Google Business Profile for Your Studio

Step-by-step Google Business Profile optimisation for fitness studios. Posts, reviews, booking link, and local SEO tips.

By Koryn Barrett— Founder & Marketing Director, Kollabo

Your Google Business Profile is often the first thing a potential member sees — before your website, before your Instagram. Here is how to optimise it.

The basics

  • Claim and verify — if you haven't already, claim your listing at business.google.com.
  • Accurate info — correct address, phone, hours, and website URL. Update hours for holidays.
  • Booking link — add your booking URL (your KOLLABO OS app link or booking page) as the primary action button.
  • Category — set your primary category accurately (Fitness centre, Yoga studio, Pilates studio, etc).

What drives rankings

  • Reviews — more reviews = higher ranking. Ask every happy member to leave a review. Respond to every review within 24 hours.
  • Posts — post weekly updates (new classes, challenges, offers). Google rewards active profiles.
  • Photos — upload 5–10 high-quality photos of your space, classes, and team. Update quarterly.

The booking connection

When someone finds you on Google and taps "Book," they should land in your branded app or booking page instantly. KOLLABO OS provides the booking link that converts Google searchers into booked members.
