Black Friday works for studios — but only if you discount strategically. Here is what to offer and what to protect.

What to discount

  • Intro packs — 50% off your intro offer. This drives new member acquisition at the cheapest CPA of the year.
  • Gift cards — "Buy $100 gift card, get $20 bonus." Drives holiday gifting and new member discovery.
  • Annual memberships — 2 months free on a 12-month commitment. Locks in revenue and reduces churn risk.

What NOT to discount

  • Regular class packs — this devalues your core product and trains members to wait for sales
  • Monthly memberships — discounting recurring revenue is a race to the bottom

Execution

Announce November 1. Early access for existing members November 25. Public sale November 28–30. "Limited to first 50 purchases" creates urgency.
