How much does Glofox actually cost in 2026? (Real numbers + 4 cheaper alternatives)

The real cost of Glofox in 2026, including the hidden 12-month contract, transaction markup, branded app fees, and SMS overages. Plus 4 cheaper Mindbody/Glofox alternatives that include the branded app.

Glofox doesn't list its full pricing publicly — every quote comes through a sales team — which makes it hard to compare against alternatives. After helping 30+ studios switch off Glofox over the last 18 months, here's what the real cost works out to in 2026.

What Glofox actually costs

The published "starting price" is around $110/month for the Pro tier. Real-world quotes for a studio doing $15–30k/month in payments come in at:

  • Glofox Plus: $199/month base
  • Transaction markup: ~2.5% on top of Stripe (varies by region)
  • Branded app: Included on Plus, but app store listing setup fees of $400–800 one-time
  • SMS: Metered, ~$0.05/message (US/AU)
  • Contract: 12-month minimum, with auto-renewal unless cancelled 60 days before

For a studio doing $20k/month: roughly $700/month all-in. Roughly $8,400/year before any add-ons.

The contract trap

The most painful piece is the 12-month commitment. Sign in March 2026 and you're locked until March 2027 — even if support quality drops, even if you outgrow it, even if you find a cheaper option.

Several alternatives below are month-to-month, which means you can leave any time. That's the bigger differentiator than the price tag.

Cheaper Glofox alternatives

1. Kollabo OS — $199/mo, no markup, no contract

Same base price as Glofox Plus, but with 0% transaction markup (Stripe pass-through) and month-to-month billing. Branded app included on the Growth tier. os.kollabo.online

2. Momence — $199/mo, but with markup

Same monthly base. But Momence adds 2.5% + 0.5% platform fee, so for a $20k/mo studio you're paying ~$700/mo all-in — about the same as Glofox. Where Momence wins: month-to-month + better community-feature UX.

3. PushPress — $159/mo

Cheaper base. No markup over Stripe. But branded app is +$81–97/mo separately, and the Marketing module (Grow) is +$329/mo if you want it. Best for gym-style operations rather than boutique studios.

4. Walla — $320/mo Core tier

More expensive base, but no transaction markup. Branded app +$149/mo. Better suited if you want a Mariana Tek-feel UX and don't mind the higher base. Annual contract typical.

How to switch (without losing customers)

The Glofox-to-Kollabo OS migration takes 48 hours when you let our team handle it. We pull your customer list, active memberships, remaining pack credits, and historical attendance via Glofox's CSV export, then re-build them on Kollabo OS without interrupting active billing. Members keep their current schedule + balance — they just see your new branded app on first login.

If you're locked into a Glofox contract, you can still set up Kollabo OS in parallel and run a "soft switchover" — new sign-ups go onto Kollabo, existing members stay on Glofox until renewal, then everyone moves together. Roughly 60% of studios that hit the 12-month renewal date with us this year went this route.
